Welcome, Choate families
I’m Susan Black of SuziBee Designs—Choate’s yearbook partner since 2017. Designing your student’s Senior Recognition Page is a privilege I take to heart. This is a once-in-a-lifetime page that becomes part of the school’s permanent archives, and my job is to make it easy, beautiful, and print-perfect. I personally handle every note, proof, and pixel; Don, my husband, quietly maintains the website and keeps the portal secure.
Account & Access: After Choate sends me the order list, I will create your account and email you your login information. This timing is controlled by the school and can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. If you don’t see my email, please check your spam/junk folder.
School-paid page includes:
- ¼ page = 1 image + 120 characters (~18–22 word) message ·
- ½ page = 4 images + 180 characters (~30–35 word) message ·
- Full page = 6 images + 240 characters (~40–45 word) message.
- Templates are fixed (no image placement requests, swaps, or layout/font/color changes on the base option) and include 1 proof.
Upgrades:
- Add + 2 images
- Change (select your own) fonts/colors
- Add a Digital Download keepsake
- All Upgrades include 3 total proofs; additional proofs are $35 each.

Proofs:
- Basic = 1 proof included.
- Upgrades = 3 total proofs.

- Custom = unlimited.
Photo rights: Families must own the digital rights to any professional photos used (especially school photographer images).
Templates: Fixed layouts. For font/color changes, specific image placement, or extra photos, please choose an upgrade or a Custom page.
Image fit: Choose photos that match the box orientation (portrait for tall boxes, landscape for wide boxes). Please do not crop images. I will adjust them to fit.

The deadline to place your order and submit materials to Susan is December 15, 2025.
Word count: Templates are suitable for a brief personal message. If your message is long the template order form will cut off when the maximum word count is reached. Please shorten your message. Consider Custom and I’ll design it to fit beautifully.
Approvals: Please proofread carefully—you’re responsible for ensuring that all names, dates, and wording are accurate. Once you approve, your page is considered final.
Timeline:
- Now: select your favorite images. Revisit the image allowances for the size tribute you purchased. Draft a brief message that adheres to the template message limits.
- Nov 1: the portal opens.
- 1st Week of Nov: I receive the first Choate list, create accounts, and email logins.
- Nov–Dec: Template selection, placing the order, and uploading images.
- Dec 15: final deadline for selections and uploaded images.
- January 5th & February 28th: Susan prepares, sends you a proof, finalizes designs, and submits them to the yearbook.
- Please notify Susan if you have any travel plans or timing conflicts during the template selection and ordering period.
Keepsakes: A Digital Keepsake of your finished page is available as an upgrade. Optional Printed Keepsakes, Memory Montages, and Cinematic Tributes may also be requested — each created with the same care and artistry as your student’s yearbook page.
Privacy: This is a secure, private portal. I personally handle every note, proof, and pixel, and my husband, Don, maintains the secure site.
