About SuziBee Designs

SuziBee Designs began with a nickname, a nudge from a friend, and a candy store of design delights.

The year was 2008, at a Photoshop conference, I stepped into a vendor booth overflowing with creative treasure: timeless wedding album layouts, baby album sets, trendy senior spreads, sports cards, textures, frames, and elegant overlays—packaged on DVDs you could own and use. It felt like a designer’s sweet shop: every package a new possibility, every disc a door into Photoshop layers and compositing. The booth belonged to Charlie Mosher, and we became fast friends.  I helped at trade shows, and he fed my curiosity with assets and ideas. He called me Suzie Q and never stopped encouraging me to find my path and leave my mark.  His encouragement and the nickname became the inspiration for SuziBee Designs—and the reason I fell deeply in love with Photoshop’s layered storytelling.

I explored various creative avenues, including drawing, painting, photography, graphic design, fashion, and ceramics.  I founded Black Eyed Susan Photography in early 2007, and by 2009, I had found my photographic path focused on high school seniors. It finally felt like home. Photography gave me the images; graphic artistry gave me the voice. SuziBee is where those two meet.

What SuziBee creates today

SuziBee Designs now focuses exclusively on yearbook recognition pages (Pre-K through Senior), Senior Tributes, milestone keepsakes, Celebration of Life/Memorial pieces, and custom-designed collages—elegant, print-perfect designs that age beautifully. As a trusted partner to Choate Rosemary Hall since 2016, I approach every Senior Recognition Page with both a sense of privilege and responsibility. At one of America’s most storied boarding schools, parents entrust me with a once-in-a-lifetime page that becomes part of the permanent record. I honor that trust with careful image curation, refined wording, and photo artistry executed to print-perfect standards—worthy of the moment and the institution.

How can we work together (one-to-one)

DIY Templates (Photoshop required) – Layered files with clipping masks for confident makers.

Personalized Templates – Send images and a short message; I place and polish, then deliver a ready-to-print file (prints available).

Bespoke Custom Design – A one-of-a-kind piece shaped around your vision, with careful image curation, refined wording, and unlimited fine-tuning until it feels right.

  • Over 50 award-winning local and state-level images. 2008-2015
  • Florida Education Degree awarded by FPP in 2015

  • Long-time involvement with PPA, FPP, and TAPPA; TAPPA President (2008-2015)

  • In 2024 I retired from active photography to devote SuziBee entirely to design; I no longer maintain those memberships or CPP renewal—and I carry that same discipline into every file I deliver.
